What Are the 20 Core Performance Behaviors?

The 20 Core Performance Behaviors are a set of identifiable, measurable, and developable behaviors that sit underneath athletic performance — grouped across areas like execution under pressure, team dynamics, work ethic and coachability, resilience, and self-awareness. Each is scored 0–100% and mapped to a zone, so development can target the specific behavior instead of a vague impression.

Why 20, and why behaviors specifically

Talent evaluation already has a mature set of tools — film, combine numbers, analytics. Person evaluation has lagged behind. The 20 Core Performance Behaviors exist to close that gap: a defined, repeatable set of behavioral signals rather than an open-ended, subjective impression.

Identified, defined, measured, developed

Each behavior in the framework is treated the same way: it can be identified in an individual, clearly defined, measured on a 0–100% scale, and developed with a specific plan — not just labeled and left alone.

What's public and what isn't

The existence and purpose of the framework is public. The specific 20 behaviors, the assessment questions, and the scoring formulas behind them are proprietary and are reviewed individually, one-on-one, as part of a consultation — not published or self-service.
